IBPS EXAM dates
As you might know, IBPS handles a number of bank exams every year; the Clerk Exam, PO (Probationary Officers) exam, SO (Specialist Officer) exam, RRB (Regional Rural Bank) Officers and Assistant exam. The first ever IBPS recruitment involved a PO exam, announced in 2011, which then followed by all the exams listed above. Each IBPS recruitment comprises of an exam, interview and an allotment phase: the whole process takes 2-3 months to finish. Typically a candidate gets a time interval of at least two months between each exam if he or she is appearing for all the four recruitments in a year.

Next IBPS PO Exam 2014-2015 registration dates:
To date, IBPS has served three PO exams, and the schedule of the last exam ( 2013), took from the official notification is uploaded below. Last year, IBPS had made some corrections to the PO Exam’s eligibility norms, and the subsequent notification that had this change invited strong protest from the candidates who were preparing for the PO exam and hoping for the former criteria. Soon IBPS reverted the changes and brought an updated notification; they also extended the registration dates by five days up-to 17-08-2013.
The screenshot given above illustrates the event calendar of the IBPS PO recruitment in 2013. If IBPS follows the same scheduling strategy in this year, you can expect a new IBPS PO notification anytime in July 2014.
When is the next IBPS Clerk exam in 2014-2015?
When IBPS started managing the Clerical Cadre exam in 2011, the minimum eligibility for a participating candidate was a pass in 10th Class. People from all sorts if life, even engineering graduates applied for the exam and ultimately, the agency received around 50L registrations. The trend continued in successive exams although the education and age norms have had changed a bit in the course. The Clerk Exam is comparatively easy for the higher-educated: if they could crack this exam, they have the opportunity to advance to the PO and managerial levels within the institution- they are also entitled to get age-relaxation in PO and RRB exams, subject to the rules.
Contrary to the previous recruitments, in 2013, IBPS took only a month’s gap to release IBPS PO and Clerk Exam notifications. Soon after collecting the PO registrations online (dates given above), IBPS commenced with Clerical Cadre applications in 19-08-2013, and it lasted up-to 7th of October. If we take this schedule as a reference, we can expect the 2014-2015 Clerk recruitment process to begin someday in September of this year.
Tentative dates of IBPS specialist exam in 2014-2015
Professionals who have the interest in the banking sector always anticipate the dates of IBPS Specialist exam, which usually gets announced towards the end of every year. Of late there was Specialist Exam in February of 2014. So if you’re looking for the next chance, you might have to wait approximately nine months, until December 2014, for the new notification to arrive.
Upcoming IBPS RRB exam dates:
IBPS RRB exam is your gateway to around 60 plus Gramin and Rural banks in India. Unlike the PO, Clerk and specialist exams, IBPS has no direct role in the interview and the final enrollment procedures in the recruitment to the regional banks, although they separately manage the candidate profiles for each bank. IBPS conducts the RRB exams to the post Office Assistants ( Clerical position), and Officer Scales 1, 2, 3, every year and releases a score card. The RRBs uses this score for recruitment, for a period of one year from the date announcement of results.
Update on July: IBPS completes RRB 2014 registrations.
