  • According to RBI, the online registration for the Clerk exam begins on 7th of November 2016 and ends on 28th. A candidate hardly gets one month to prepare for the first exam as the proposed date is in December.
  • The total number of Clerk vacancies reported for the 2017 selection is 670.
  • From this year,  RBI Assistant Recruitment will include a preliminary exam and Main exam. The dates mentioned here are approximate, candidates will be communicated through an email and SMS.
  • Interview phase has been withdrawn, the marks scored in the main exam is considered final selection.

Eligibility for applying RBI clerk recruitment in 2016

RBI Assistant application is open to all Indian citizens who have passed a degree course from a UGC accepted university with at least 50{85750076c19b322c30e4569667a53fe9704f146e1a57d714f26072fdcf6b5afb} marks. However, there are some additional requirements (especially on age ) mentioned below.
The age of the applier should be or above 20 yrs and below 28 as of 07-11-2016. That means candidates who are born before 08-11-1988 and after 07-11-1996 are not eligible for this post. A non-cumulative relaxation on this criteria is applicable for candidates with experience in RBI, Ex-Servicemen, widows, disabled and members of the minority communities.

Candidates are required to have written and verbal skills in the local language of the State or area where their chosen RBI office is located.
